Product launch - Cottontail Organic nappies

We’re pleased to be able to tell you that we’re one of the first suppliers of a really innovative product which is new to market.

As an employee of The Clean Green Nappy Machine, I won’t tell you which brand I use myself as I recognise good qualities in all of the nappies we stock (we do use them all on Tallulah, although some in much greater quantities than others). What I will say, though, and I know from our forums and from general customer feedback that many real nappy users agree with me, is that most products seem to become easier to use once your baby is bigger.

With modern fasteners and breakthroughs in fabrics, design and just about every other aspect of cloth nappy production, they are, of course, easier to use than ever, but this nappy had us all coo-ing in wonder at its true birth to potty build.

The thing is, one sizes often have ingenious devices allowing a fold at the front to shorten the nappy, and extra fasteners to allow a better crossover fit, and therefore do fit really well from birth to potty. But this one also gets to the heart of the problem of how to allow the main fabric of the nappy – that sits across your baby’s bum at the back, to expand with your baby.

And the way they’ve done it is a row of fasteners tucked away into a seam at the back of the nappy. You can unfasten these as your baby grows, and the fabric underneath will concertina out to fit.

Below, I’m popping in a series of images from Cottontails’ promotional material, to show exactly how the nappy works. But before I go, the other thing you really need to know about these nappies is just how soft and snugly they are. The cotton velour fabric (100% organic) is velvety-smooth, and makes for a really comfy nappy experience for your baby.
