The BabyGROE Ethical Business award

This year we’re up for a BabyGROE small Ethical Business award, and we’re proud to say we believe our ethical policy means we really deserve to win it!
BabyGROE is an organisation set up to encourage Green Parenting choices, from breastfeeding to using real nappies, and its vision and aims are really closely aligned with ours - the GROE stands for Green, Recycledm Organic and Ethical - so I don’t think I need to say more!
The Ethical Business category of the Natural Choices awards seeks find and reward a small ethical business which is making a big impact in their chosen field. Eligible companies are small businesses that are actively promoting natural choices to parents and must be environmentally sympathetic.
We have a stringent ethical policy, which sets out that we will only print on 100% recycled paper (not such an easy thing to stick to - there are many professional papers which are part recycled, but not many 100%), our packaging is fully biodegradeable, we run an office as close to paper free as is possible, and recycle waste we do have.
We believe we should win this award on another point too - because this year (only our first year trading) we have set out to ensure that we supply information to people who are looking to start using real nappies. The first steps in doing this were set up this blog - to supply information, and our forum - for our users to share knowledge. We believe that by doing so we’re encouraging more people to switch, and making it easier for them to do so. So we hope you’ll agree with us and vote for us in these awards.
